Meet the Riveters
Sarah Hitchcock Langley
Co-Founder
Sarah Hitchcock Langley is a graduate of the University of Louisiana-Lafayette where she earned her B.F.A in Performing Arts with a concentration in Theatre in 2009. Sarah also has her Masters degree in Arts Administration from the University of New Orleans. She has been seen in both Riveters productions of Uncommon Women & Others as Muffet. She also co-directed the remount of Uncommon Women & Others with fellow Riveter Martin Smith and designed and ran lights for A Scintillating Showcase. Sarah has also been seen in productions throughout Lafayette including Noises Off (Belinda), Five Women Wearing the Same Dress (Trisha), Crimes of the Heart (Babe), Closer (Alice), Hound (Dr. Mortimer), and The Murder Room (Susan). Although Sarah currently resides in Kenner, LA with her loving husband and step-daughter, she remains active in the Riveters' endeavors acting as a consultant, Executive Director, and cheerleader for her Riveters family.

Martin Smith
Co-Founder

Martin has been seen in productions around New Iberia, and Lafayette, including IPAL’s Wizard of Oz as the Cowardly Lion, Remember When as George, UL Lafayette’s An Evening with Edgar Allen Poe as Fortunado, and Wanderlust Theatre Company’s Monster Tales as Samson/ Alexander. He has also started to get into directing with the remount of Uncommon Women and Others at Cite des Arts. Martin has continued directing for the Riveters with the productions of Cheaters, Fat Pig, Upstairs: The Musical, and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Martin has also directed a show in St. Martinville called No Kidding. Martin is super excited to be apart of such a wonderful and talented group of people. Watch out world because The Riveters are here and ready to take your breath away.

Kyla Cormier
Co-Founder
Kyla Michelle Cormier is a native of Lafayette, LA. She has a Bachelors of Science in Applied Sociology from Texas State University-San Marcos and a Master's in Education Administration from Concordia University in Austin, TX. She has been teaching for 9 years. Kyla has been involved in many Riveters productions. She has served as Production Assistant for The Blonde, the Brunette, and the Vengeful Redhead, Assistant Director for Hair, Director of A Scintillating Showcase, and Rita in Uncommon Women & Others Remount and Uncommon Women & Others. Kyla has also been seen in the Evangeline Player's production of No Kidding as Sandra.

Taylor Dought

Taylor Dought was born and raised in the great city of Lafayette, Louisiana. As a founding member of the Riveters, Taylor has participated in many different shows as cast and crew. Taylor is consistently a part of the marketing and advertising side of Riveters productions and maintains the Riveter's presence on Social Media. Although Taylor currently resides in Washington state, she continues to support and serve as a proud member of the Lafayette theatre community. She can’t wait to see what the Riveters have up their sleeves for the future!

Katie Slattery
Co-Founder
Katie Slattery is a local actress and director. She is a graduate of UL’s Performing Arts program, and she has acted in and directed several plays. Most recently she has performed in Cabaret and Uncommon Women. Katie has directed The Shape of Things and Beyond Therapy. She has also served as Assistant Director to UL’s productions of Noises Off! And Stop Kiss. In 2010, Katie competed in the Region VI KC/ACTF Director and Choreographer’s Initiative in Amarillo, TX. where she was a semi-finalist for her work on The Shape of Things. In 2011, Katie served as faculty for the Texas A&M Governor’s School, and she has been a Talent Theatre teacher for Iberia Parish for two years. Katie is a founding member of the Riveters Theatre Troupe in Lafayette, Louisiana, and has directed two shows for The Riveters-- The Blonde, the Brunette, and the Vengeful Redhead and HAIR- The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical.

Nathanael Trahan
Member
Nathanael Trahan is a UL alumni. He graduated with a BFA in Theatre in 2009. Since then he has worked on many productions ranging from local theatre to professional film. Nathanael's first Riveters production was Cabaret (directed by Christy Leicty) where he had a small role as a solider/sailor. He also worked with the Riveters as the set designer for Cheaters (directed by Martin Smith) and Hair the musical (directed by Katie Slattery) as the assistant set designer and on stage in the roles of Paul/John Wilkes Booth /Soldier Three/ Dad One. The stage is where Nathanael belongs, and as long as there are great people to work with, Nathanael will always be willing to help.

(Ermengarde), Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella (Fairy Godmother), Speech & Debate (Diwata), The Bishop's Wife (Julia Brougham), and A Dicken's Christmas Carol: A Traveling Travesty In Two Tumultuous Acts (Mrs. Bettina Salisbury).
